Grace Lutheran Church ~ Dedication Concert

Here is one very happy pastor! The Reverend David Imhoff, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Miami Springs, Florida poses for a photo with concert organist Michael Stairs.

Michael opened the new Allen pipe combination organ with John Stanley's Trumpet Tune in D and closed with Widor's Toccata from Symphony V. The eleven other selections included works by English, French, German and American composers which highlighted the versatility of this magnificent instrument.

A Very Lovely Note

A very lovely note from Betty Rice, Miami Chapter AGO member, and longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, Miami Springs, after dedication concert on the new Allen pipe combination organ.

I want to express my thanks for the excellent promotional work that you and the Dunne Music Company did for yesterday's concert. Diana Aker's postings on were superb. Also, I personally heard from some in attendance who knew about the concert from "the newspaper" and from Classical South Florida 89.7.

Michael Stairs was definitely the right artist to introduce our new instrument. Just think about the variety of listeners who enthusiastically welcomed him: those who were attending their very FIRST organ recital in contrast with the inveterate, classical-recital attendees like several persons sitting near me who have experienced hundreds of such events. His choice of selections, pacing and verbal introductions were tailor-made for such a crowd.

Our folks are proud of the new instrument and more aware of its colors and possibilities. Please convey my thanks to Brian and crew.

Nice notes likethese absolutely make our day here at Dunne Music Company! Thank you so much Betty.
